In response to the brief, we produced as 35 page tender package which included rendered drawings, a transmittal, a FFE schedule and drawing documentation. We proposed the title of the venue be ‘The Perennial Bar’, a vegan comfort food restaurant that targeted not only vegans, but all types of eaters ranging from families to couples.

 

As a vegan soul food restaurant, we wanted the design of this space to feel welcoming and multi-dimensional, so we designed ceiling light-wells with enveloping vegetation to create a greenery oasis. A sense of family style dining was essential to the concept of the space, so we designed custom designed circular tables that joined together. Materials such as timber wall cladding, tiling, and wallpaper all add to the overall aesthetic and concept of the space.

 

I took a major role in the documentation processes as well as with the overall management of the assignment, including putting together the entire package, the development of the transmittal and the FFE schedule. Finishes selections were also a major component I was involved in.
